Ealing Council clamps down on vandals and fly-posters

Residents are being encouraged to report graffiti and unauthorised advertising to Ealing Council as it continues its clampdown on envirocrimes.

 

The council offers a free service to remove graffiti from all council owned, commercial and residential properties, including street furniture and property belonging to utility companies (except railway property). It will also remove unlawful adverts for free and aims to remove 90% of all reported graffiti and fly-posting by the end of the next working day, based on reports received before 4pm.

 

Current removal rates are at 95% for all accessible areas, but graffiti and fly-posting cannot be cleared unless the council is aware of it.

 

The information required to report fly-posting and graffiti will include:

The location e.g. the exact address or as much information as possible
The surface the material is on e.g. brick wall, metal door, glass window etc
The colour of the graffiti or content of the fly-poster
Any access issues
If the graffiti is offensive please state

Graffiti and fly-posting is a criminal offence. If you see someone committing an act of graffiti or vandalism call 999.
