Compulsory licensing for Residential Landlords

It is rumoured that the government is preparing to announce a plan to introduce compulsory Landlord Licensing.

This is picking up on a recommendation from an Independent Review carried out by Julie Rugg and David Rhodes (RUGG REPORT).

If this goes ahead then all landlords in the private rented sector would have to pay a license fee and would need to be registered with their local authority.
